Group Footpath Wardens
Group Footpath Wardens monitor the state of footpaths in our area, and may look after one or more parishes.
In the first year it is usual for the Warden to walk all the paths in a parish and, then later, concentrate on those with more problems.
The Group Footpath Warden may be asked to provide information or comment if a planning application or diversion is proposed.
Our area is divided into 36 parishes and we currently have group footpath wardens for all of the parishes.
Without a designated group footpath warden in each parish there is a risk that the footpaths may become less accessible
